Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to invite you to participate in the International Scientific Conference AGROBIODIVERSITY FOR IMPROVE THE NUTRITION, HEALTH AND QUALITY OF HUMAN AND BEES LIFE, which will take place in Nitra, Slovakia, 11th–13th September 2019. Nitra is a city in western Slovakia, situated at the bottom of Zobor hill in the valley of the river Nitra. Nitra is also one of the oldest cities in Slovakia.

The conference is organized by the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra, Faculty of Agrobiology and Food Resources, Slovakia, in collaboration with the M.M. Gryshko National Botanical Garden of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

The aims of the conference are to connect researchers from diverse fields of study, but in close relation to organic agriculture and agrobiodiversity. It is also an opportunity for researchers, students, interested companies and farmers to exchange and gain the knowledge from plenary lectures, oral and poster presentations, workshop, and excursion.

The Conferences topics / sessions are as followed:

  3. Recovery and use of local and old cultivars
  4. Traditional agrosystem technologies
  5. Food quality and safety

  9. Quality of bee products
  10. Bee pollen and perga

Full paper submission (optional) to a special issue of Agrobiodiversity for Improve the Nutrition, Health and Quality of Life: 30th August 2019.

Agrobiodiversity for Improve the Nutrition, Health and Quality of Life is the Proceedings of scientific papers issued annually by the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra and M.M. Gryshko National Botanical Garden (NBG) of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in Kyiv, within the jointly established international network AgtoBioNet. The original scientific papers oriented on the conservation and sustainable use of genetic resources of traditional, forgotten, underutilized and less-known plant species, which are presented in the Proceedings to support the increase of food safety, food security, biosafety, plant breeding and expansion, use of plant species for improvement of the population health, ensuring the remediation of natural resources and environment, improving the socio-economic rural development and creating conditions for the development of regional economy and supporting the development of small and medium-sized farms.
